Dr. Haydar Badawi Sadig. A former ambassador, he served as Director of the Media Department and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan. He holds a PhD in Mass Communication and an MA in International Affairs from Ohio University, and an M.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Khartoum.A Fulbright Scholar and professor, he taught at various universities in the United States, including at Ohio University, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and Medaille University (Buffalo, New York). He also taught at several universities in the Arab Gulf region, including at the United Arab Emirates University, University of Sharjah, Ajman University, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals and Qatar University. He authored or co-authored many works on mass communication and global media ethics; one of which is a book entitled “Al Jazeera in the Gulf and in the World: Is It Redefining Global Communication Ethics?" (2019).
