Dr. Raslan Ibrahim is an Associate Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the State University of New York at Geneseo, and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he is also a Research Associate at the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding (CCDP). Previously, he served as the 2021–22 Charles E. Scheidt Faculty Fellow in Atrocity Prevention at Binghamton University’s Institute for Genocide and Mass Atrocity Prevention, and as a Fellow at the Institute of International Relations and the Global South Unit for Mediation at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil. He has taught at Haverford College, the University of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver, PUC-Rio, and Charles University. His research focuses on Middle East politics, conflict resolution, human rights and human dignity, sovereignty and intervention, regionalism, and regional organizations in the Middle East. He previously served as a BBC Arabic correspondent covering Israeli and Palestinian affairs and has been interviewed by international media outlets, including Deutsche Welle (DW), Al Arabiya English, France 24, and BBC Arabic. He is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English.
