Dr. Ahmed Abdrabou

About 

Dr. Ahmed Abdrabou is an Associate Professor at the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver and Associate Director of the Center for Middle East Studies. His expertise lies in comparative politics, international relations, Middle East politics, regional security, political development, and political Islam.

Before joining the University of Denver, he was a faculty member at Cairo University and held research and visiting appointments in Japan and Germany. He earned his Ph.D. in International Public Policy from Hokkaido University, Japan.

He is the author of several books and numerous academic and policy publications on Middle Eastern politics, international relations, comparative politics, and regional affairs. His research examines political change, governance, civil–military relations, and the dynamics of regional and international politics, with a particular focus on the Middle East.

As a member of MENA2050, he aims to contribute to evidence-based policy discussions and initiatives that advance regional cooperation, dialogue, and sustainable development across the Middle East and North Africa.
