About 

Sheikha Fatima bint Mohamed Al Qassimi is an Emirati award-winning jewellery designer, researcher, and advocate for culture, creativity, and sustainable development from Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. She holds a Master’s degree in Luxury Management from Bocconi University, Milan, and a Master’s degree in Jewellery and Metal from the Royal College of Art, London.

As one of the pioneering Emirati jewellery designers and makers, Fatima has dedicated her career to exploring the intersection of craftsmanship, cultural heritage, education, and social impact. Through her creative and research-led practice, she examines how traditional crafts and creative industries can contribute to cultural preservation, community resilience, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.

Her work extends beyond design into the broader fields of art, humanities, creativity, and cultural diplomacy, with a particular interest in the role of craft as a tool for fostering dialogue, strengthening identity, and creating opportunities for individuals and communities facing social and economic challenges. She is especially committed to advancing initiatives that connect craftsmanship with education, entrepreneurship, and humanitarian development.

Fatima’s work has received international recognition and awards for its contribution to contemporary jewellery and cultural practice. Drawing on both academic research and hands-on making, she continues to advocate for the value of creativity, heritage, and human-centred innovation as essential foundations for a more inclusive, sustainable, and peaceful future.
