About

Mahmoud Jabari is a Palestinian policy professional working at the intersection of geopolitics, economic development, and multilateral diplomacy, with over ten years of experience engaging political leaders, governments, and the private sector across the Middle East, Europe, ASEAN, South Asia and Africa. At the World Economic Forum, Mahmoud has led high-level engagement with more than 500 senior business executives and government officials from over 60 countries.

His work requires navigating complex political dynamics in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, with particular focus on the Middle East. He has helped advance cross-border dialogue and public-private partnerships aimed at fostering economic resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth in divided and high-tension environments.

His work has included initiatives and dialogues spanning Brussels, the Middle East, and refugee contexts such as Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. Previously, Mahmoud served at the Office of the Quartet in Jerusalem, where he coordinated political engagement with the Palestinian Authority and international stakeholders.

In this role, he contributed to political-economic analysis related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and supported the development of an economic GIS mapping platform to inform policy and donor decision-making. Mahmoud has published opinion pieces in Haaretz and The Wall Street Journal, analyzing geopolitics and economic development.

Born and raised in Hebron in the occupied West Bank, Mahmoud grew up in H2, an area under Israeli military control. His formative years coincided with the Second Intifada, experiences that profoundly shaped his understanding of conflict, power asymmetry, and everyday realities on the ground.

Mahmoud holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, with a concentration in International Political Economy, and a Bachelor of Science with honors from Champlain College in Vermont.
