About
Nadine Barakat was born and raised in Lebanon. She began her career in commercial banking, where she structured and financed projects across industrial, agricultural, technological, and tourism sectors in both urban centers and rural communities. This work required close collaboration with stakeholders of widely varying backgrounds, ranging from highly educated professionals to small-scale producers and individuals with limited formal education, from all areas in Lebanon.
In 2014, she relocated to the United States, and subsequently pursued roles in human resources and consultancy.
Following the Beirut Port Blast and the financial crisis in 2020, she led humanitarian initiatives to support affected communities. Recognizing the vulnerability of aid distribution to fraud and diversion, she later developed a system designed to strengthen accountability and reduce fraudulent activity. These experiences reinforced her conviction that sustainable peace and prosperity in Lebanon depend on focusing on awareness and addressing systemic threats, including corruption, money laundering, and terror financing. Nadine currently focus her advocacy on these issues, drawing on her financial expertise and practical experience with the different communities.
Nadine holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut.
