About
Raphael Luzon was a confident, versatile, and enthusiastic media and management professional with extensive knowledge and skills across a variety of fields, with particular expertise in analyzing the Middle East. He was very active in global Interfaith Dialogue, along with an in-depth understanding of international politics, business, and cultures.
He met Pope John Paul II and the Dalai Lama. He was a proven mediator and builder of relationships among leaders of opposing factions, with experience in Libya, Italy, the United Kingdom, Israel, and the USA. He was the first Jewish leader to have received, twice, a personal invitation from Libyan leader Qaddafi to visit Libya following the expulsion of the entire Jewish community in 1967.
After the end of the Qaddafi regime, he was invited by leaders of all the Libyan political parties and factions to mediate their internecine quarrels. He was extensively interviewed by the BBC, various Italian TV news channels, Vatican TV, Al Hewar TV, Libyan 218NEWS, and Israeli radio and television.
