From May 16–18, Eli Bar-On, CEO of MENA2050, participated in the 18th Lennart Meri Conference (LMC) in Tallinn, Estonia – one of Europe’s leading forums on foreign and security policy. Representing MENA2050, Eli spoke on a high-level panel titled “The Axis of Upheaval and Its Impact on Global Power Politics,” addressing the strategic realignments among Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea (CRINK) and their global implications. Eli addressed these countries’ current interests and challenges in the MENA region.

The panel featured distinguished speakers, including HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal AlSaud (Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center in Saudi Arabia), Jana Puglierin (ECFR), and Michael Weiss (The Daily Beast), and was moderated by CNN’s Kim Dozier.

The conference, organized by the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS), convened global leaders, policymakers, and experts under the theme “We Shall Go Forward Together.” Discussions focused on emerging threats, the war in Ukraine, and power shifts in the Indo-Pacific.

Through forums like LMC, MENA2050 reaffirms its role in building a secure and prosperous future for the Middle East and North Africa.

As part of this critical dialogue, we continue to advocate for collaborative solutions to regional and international challenges.
